Light on Water leans into cosmic, kosmische synth workouts, and it's clearly shaped by his day job working as a film projectionist, and you can hear that flickering, analogue texture running through the whole thing. There's still an edge to it though: old rhythm box beats and post-punk angles keep cutting into the looser, more colourful stuff, that tension between rigid and free runs right through opener 'Completely.'
