A solo piano album is his most intimate and most direct
statement.
 A world-famous work, Schubert’s ‘Winterreise’ is one of the best-known song cycles in Western
music. That gives the release a second sales channel beyond jazz - classical buyers, classical retail placement, classical and feuilleton media.
 Pop references widen the reach. Motifs from Björk (‘aurora’), Kate Bush (‘snowflake’) and Louis Cole
(‘cloud of flies’) open the album to indie and pop listeners and give non-jazz media a hook.
 Recorded on the grand piano at the 16th century Reitstadel in Neumarkt, a room with a legendary
piano-recording history, with no dynamic processing applied at all. A definite angle for hi-fi press, vinyl buyers and premium / gift placement.
 CD in four-page digipack with eight-page booklet.
 LP on 180g vinyl with one-page insert and digital download code.

Tracklisting
ich schreibe nur im gehen
wetterfahnen
schlag und schritt
innehalten
aurora
ich such’ im schnee vergebens
snowflake
fahlschatten
irrlichter
ein lindenbaum
cloud of flies
im dunkeln wird mir wohler sein / die nebensonnen
schneeland
steht ihm nimmer still / der leiermann

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0130/8714/6043/files/l_05bb3ebc-64fc-4ef1-9b48-88cc01bdb25c.webp?v=1791217155
