After more than 10 years of gigging and recording, some bands might have seen these circumstances as a sign to call it a day, but not Blackbeard's Tea Party. They recruited a new bassist and guitarist, and began writing new music, each working in isolation and using digital technology to stitch the parts together. Most of the tracks were composed before the new line-up had met together in-person. This was a far more critical writing process than on previous records, resulting in twelve lean, fnely- honed tracks, instilled with a new creative energy. Kick the Curb is fun, modern and energetic folk-rock designed for muddy festival dancefoors.
