EN NECK CEMETERY Established in 2018... rumored since 1984! NECK CEMETERY refuse to follow any trends: The five guys from North Rhine-Westphalia play their Heavy Metal the way they love it - sometimes slow, sometimes fast, sometimes serious and sometimes with a wink, but always with a good portion of heart and soul. After the debut album "Born in a Coffin", released in 2020 via Reaper Entertainment Europe and distributed worldwide by Universal Music, was extremely well received by fans and press alike, the band played at several renowned festivals in the summer of 2022; for example at the Rock Hard Festival (their performance was recorded by the WDR Rockpalast and also broadcasted live on the Internet) and the Wacken Open Air. Afterwards they barricaded themselves in the rehearsal room to work on fresh song material. These songs form the basis for their second full-length album "Bring us the Head", which has been recorded in spring 2023 in the "Gernhart" studios in Troisdorf in cooperation with producer Martin Buchwalter, who is known in the hard & heavy scene for his work with Tankard, Destruction, Tom Angelripper, Paul Di'Anno and Suidakra. ““Bring us the Head” is our loveletter to the cinema of the eighties and nineties, with which we grew up”, singer Jens reports. “During the Corona pandemic, we 'rediscovered' many of these movies. Many will be able to relate – you sat at home, had an unusual amount of free time, and thanks to the streaming services, you were rarely bored. At one point we joked that it would be cool to make a record about our old favorite films... said and done.” Fans of films like “Terminator”, “Conan”, “Army of Darkness” or “Escape from New York” will be delighted with the album, which comes with another detailed cover artwork by Besil Wrathbone. The band also recorded a cover of the Ramones classic “Pet Sematary”. Jens explains: “Since we've played the song live for years and it fits so wonderfully into the concept of the album, the idea was quite obvious.” The new full-length will hit record stores on October 27, 2023 via Reaper Entertainment.
